Annecy is a quaint city sitting on the edge of Lac d'Annecy, a beautiful glacial lake surrounded by Alps in the Haute-Savoie region of France. Annecy and la Savoie are famous for cheese; Reblochon, Tomme de Savoie, Abondance, and Beaufort to name a few. Wheels of cheese on display at the weekly farmer's market, saucisson sec and charcuterie, fondue, raclette, and of course, la tartiflette.
You are not on a diet in Annecy. You'll need the extra calories to get you biking around the lake, hiking up the alps, and paragliding down:).
